Tumbling Services by Tek Deburr
Fifty Years of Deburring Expertise on Long Island.
Tumbling, similiar to vibratory deburring, is a rapid, high volume deburring process.
What Is Tumbling?
Tumbling is a relatively simple process - parts to be deburred are put in a tumbler (pictured to the right, on larger screens) which rotates them, along with an abrasive medium; this 'tumbling' generates the friction needed to remove burrs.
Tumbling is easy to do - but, not necessarily easy to do well. Important factors to consider:
- Speed. Many companies will have one, or possibly two, tumblers: Tek has six! This means that we can turnaround even large quantities and multiple orders very quickly.
- Consistency. Every part that comes out of a tumbler is thoroughly inspected for finish quality. You can be confident that, even if we're finishing thousands of parts, every one of them will be perfectly and identically deburred.
- Reliability. The price we quote is the price you pay - and, even if parts need to be put through repeated processes to be finished correctly, the price will not increase.
